The Master of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering (International Program), Faculty of Engineering, congratulates international students who have been awarded the ‘Living Allowance Scholarships’ for the academic year 2566. Recipients of this scholarship will receive a monthly stipend of 8,000 Baht
The Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science, Mahidol University, congratulates the students of the department who have completed their studies in the academic year 2565 and will participate in the graduation ceremony at Mahidol Sithammarat on October 9th and 10th, 2566.
This year, there are a total of 49 graduating students, with 2 students receiving First Class Honors: Chaiapat and Thananat, and 8 students receiving Second Class Honors: Jirapat, Tiparat, Thanyanat, Naradon, Pakornkan, Pimchanok, Sahatsawat, and Sintorn.
The department extends congratulations to all graduates and wishes them success in their future endeavors, further studies, and professional pursuits.
Professor Chettiyappan Visvanathan (Visu) was invited to deliver a lecture and presentation on “Plastic Waste Data Collection: Current Practices, Key Challenges, and Strategies.” He also participated in the second session’s panel discussion titled “Formal and Informal Waste Management: Working on the Ground and Overcoming Challenges” at the workshop titled “Strategies for Plastic Waste Data Collection and Management: Foundations for National and City Action Plans.” This workshop was organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in collaboration with the Coordinating Body on the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA) at the Holiday Inn on Sukhumvit Road.
Professor Chettiyappan also presented a research project affiliated with Mahidol University concerning plastic waste management in Thailand. Additionally, he highlighted ongoing research activities in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
This workshop was specifically tailored for government agencies in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, as part of the ADB’s Technical Assistance program aimed at promoting actions against plastic pollution entering the seas. The event attracted more than 50 attendees.
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mahidol University extends heartfelt congratulations to the fourth-year students of the department who have been invited to participate in the Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS 2023) competition organized by the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) in Taipei City, Taiwan. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering organised an orientation activity for first-year students in the field of Civil Engineering. and activities for students every year to meet their advisors. The academic year 2023 takes place on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Lecture Room 6456, 4th Floor and Auditorium Department of Civil Engineering. Faculty of Engineering Building 3, Mahidol University To welcome first-year students and introduce the department, teaching and providing opportunities for civil engineering students of all years to have the opportunity to meet with advisors to ask for advice on teaching and learning to build good relations with each other.
